The Beatles Never Existed
« on: January 09, 2015, 06:20:40 AM »

Anyone seen this. It seems to be wanting to one up (or three up) the Paul is Dead theory.

They insist they're not joking. Which makes it sadder really.

No, I hadn't seen it but I'll give it a read tomorrow Moog. I hope it doesn't shatter all my illusions. ;)

It's probably not worth too much time Kelley. Except for a quick giggle.

Mercifully, The Beatles did exist.
Imagine if they, or their contemporaries, hadn't?
Life wouldn't be worth living.....it would all be hippity-hop.

I thought we'd decided I Am the Walrus was the first rap song. The Beatles invented hip hop too  ;D

First rap record?
It's not something anyone would surely want to claim to have invented (a bit like the off-side trap in football or the parking meter) but 'Say Man' by Bo Diddley (1959) seems to tick all the boxes for me.

I think that site might be onto something regarding the height differences.

We all know heels were not invented till 1974

And Dylan of course

it would all be hippity-hop.

I don't know much about hippity-hop but I did have a hoppity-hop when I was a little girl. It was one of my favorite toys until I rolled it down the steps ahead of me and it hit something sharp and exploded. Between the shock of the explosion and the disbelief of losing it I was quite traumatized!

That is a very bizarre site, Moogmodule. Thanks for sharing the link.

That made me laugh out loud, Kelley! Although it must have been scary for you as a child.

I have seen this site before! I was researching the picture below and the site came up in my search. I thought it was just Paul is Dead rubbish but now I see it's of utmost importance to all fans. LOL Of course this photo is quite a deception. It appears that they are standing on a roof but everyone knows that Beatles can't fly. They only crawl.  ;D

I didn't know 'hoppity-hop' was a toy!
In Britain something very similar was called a Spacehopper.

Never really sounded like rapping to me, but if we call it that wouldn't you say it's fair to call Too Much Monkey Business (clearly the main inspiration behind Homesick) rap too?
