Somehow, I think it's more "dangerous" to be on a public message board than Facebook. On FB, you can set your privacy controls just so you'll only have a specific set of people who can see your page. On public message boards, anyone out there can contact you.

Sorry about school, I know the feeling. :(

Ok, first I got a Facebook, then my Dad did, and then my Mom did. And it's almost like their keeping track of who I'm friends with. It gets so annoying. I finally had to ask HeyJude how to use the privacy settings  ;D

Hahaha. Well, when it comes to the Internet, we all just have to use common sense. Don't talk to creepy weirdos and all.

And speaking of common sense, I don't have much of it. I was mouthing off about someone's blog online (half-jokingly, though) and got into a heap of trouble for it. I've written at least three apologies today because of it. Me = stupid. :(

That and I think that people have to be personally responsible for what they post on the internet.  I consider myself a "life blogger" (aka my blog deals with stuff that's going on in my personal life and the world around me).  I've been blogging in it for about 5 years now, and lately I make sure that anything really personal or something that is talking about another blog or blogger is under a "friends only" lock, so only people I allow in can see them.

Aw, you are sweet. :) I just felt very stupid because my mouth tends to get me into trouble and I don't always learn from my mistakes. I'm just very opinionated, almost to a fault.

What happened to MTSB? Did you say something to him/her??

Yes, that's true about being responsible for what you write. If you're going to have a public blog, don't be surprised if some people out there are going make fun of you or say rude things. (Not aiming that at you personally, but the writer that I got in trouble with. Not that I'm justifying my actions, but still.)

You know, I've been using the Internet for more than 10 years at this point, and I'm still not fully versed in netiquette (however you spell it).

Yeah, I try not to get involved with the creepy weirdos  ;D

And trust me, I've done my share of mouthing off, Especially to the people on youtube that write nasty comments on Beatles videos. That's usually where I put my mouthing off time and effort. Like these people:

"The Jonas Brothers are more than just the new Beatles... They are better than the Beatles. "

That was from Hey Jude vid on youtube  ;D

Hahaha... Although it's not necessarily a good thing, at least I'm not by myself on mouthing off. I think I've been a smart aleck since the day I was born; thinking back on it, I don't know how my parents ever put up with me. :-[
