Alright. Right now, there is a 80% I will own a Cherry Red Gibson ES345. Oh, what year? 1967. It was my great uncle's, and he died a year ago. I hadn't met him, but he lived with my mother for 3 years. And I am the only person in my family (on my mother's side) that plays guitar. BUT, my Aunt who lives in Texas wants to take it and put it in a case in her livingroom, because she believes it's an antique and shouldn't be played. But I have played it, it is an amazing instrument. But, legally, my Aunt can't have it! Because about 3 years ago my great uncle put it in a repair shop so the people could replace the nylon bridge pieces and put metal ones in, and he never came back for it. So after 180 days it went into the ownership of the repair shop. But finally they tracked my Grandmother down, so me and my Dad drove all the way to Eau Claire, Wisconson to pick up the guitar. The man who had ownership of it was really wary of giving it to my Dad. So my Dad had me play it and then the man said to ME, "I will give you the guitar, but I don't want it to be put in a case somewhere in Texas. What this guitar needs is to be played everyday and a name." So yah!!! He said it was mine!!!

Sorry I rambled. I needed to get this off of my chest.

Yeah I know! We were all excited because the water was leaking into the electrical system. Strange thing to be excited about. But school is cancelled again today! I'm hoping for tomorrow too!

REALLY looking forward to the coming month. I've got two gigs with my band (our first since I switched from guitar to lead vocals), I'm going away for a weekend with some friends, I'm going to both days of the Groezrock festival and on the 26th I'm going on a holiday to Morocco.

LOL I wanted to name it George (cuz it looked a little like George's guitar) but I've been told I have to name it Mark after my uncle. But that's alright

I just got back from a trip to our beloved Liverpool!

I actually managed to get my dad to take me there. It wasn't the best day, since it was lashing it down, and we got there too late to go on the Magical Mystery Tour, but we still had a good time. We went to Mathew Street and stood at the entrance to The Cavern, feeling sorry for it. I can't believe they never even did the work they tore it down for. The "new" Cavern was so enticing despite that though... I just wanted to rush down the stairs and see our boys on stage... *facepalm*

I went to a couple of shops and bought three Beatles t-shirts and some socks with the "Help!" logo on! I couldn't resist! And then we went into The Grapes pub where The Beatles used to hang out when Pete and Stu were in... it was amazing because there was a photo on the wall of John, George, Paul and Pete sitting at a table in the pub, and there was a sign pointing to the very seat that the photo was taken. You could tell by the decorations on the walls and the layout of the room, they really had been sitting in that pub. I got such a thrill from knowing that if this had been the early 60's, I could have turned around and the boys would have been sitting right behind me.

It was a shame that the rain stopped us from staying too long, but I'm determined to go back in the summer and do The Beatles Story and the Magical Mystery Tour... I can't die happy until I've been to John's house.
