Love it! I have to say, though, that as a former teenage girl who has done my share of screaming at boy bands (mostly Duran Duran <cringe>), I really don't understand the extreme hysteria: the physical agitation, crying, etc. I've read female fans even lost bladder control. The Beatles were adorable and totally worthy of adulation, in my opinion, but the extreme fan reactions elude me. Must have been a time-and-place cultural phenonmenon unique to that time period.

Those girls were suffering from what was once considered to be an incurable sickness.  But today we know that, with proper medical treatment, their sickness can be completely cured.  Those girls were in love.

Here's a documentary showing Dr. Crippen and his staff treating the disorder at The Royal Free Love Hospital...

The documentary starts at 6:18  (Click on Watch On YouTube)

Were they really in love, though? I guess I view it as a combination of girlish infatuation and lust. Been there!  ;)

Hm, neither the video nor the link loaded for me. I'll do a search in a bit.
