I'm so livid right now. When I was about six years old, I started getting styes, which are basically infections that come up into large swollen lump on your eyelid. They're filled with pus and burst (which always glues your eyelids together) and you have to look after them 24/7. I basically couldn't be alone because I'd be practically blind for two weeks with these things. Every few months, I got one, and sometimes I got more than one on the same eye, which was horrendous. The doctors said that they're caused by the oil gland under your eyelash getting blocked, say with dirt or something, but I wasn't doing anything to inflict them. They said it was just something my body did, and I'd just have to deal with it. I kept getting them until I was eleven, and then suddenly it stopped, and I just never got them again, no matter what I did to my eyes. The doctor said it was just one of those silly phases that your body goes through, and I'd grown out of it. But now, all of a sudden, now that I'm nearly 21, I've got one completely out of the blue, and I defenitely did NOTHING to provoke it! I swear to god... I'm not living the rest of my life with pus coming out of my eyes every few months. It blinds me for weeks and I'm pretty much incapable of doing anything on my own. Please, for the love of god, don't let this start again!
