I was watching the food channel, and there was this cereal restaurant in Pennsylvania and they had a cereal called Strawberry Fields.

On Project Runway, season five (the one right now), Terri, a designer, was wearing a shirt that said Yoko Ono.
Not really a Beatles reference, but I thought I should tell you.

During Project Runway, Season 5, the designers were designing cocktail dresses. While designing, Tim Gunn visited the designers. One designer, Blayne, got a visit from Tim. As Tim was looking at the dress, he said, "It's looking a little Sgt. Pepper-ish..."

"I'm Looking Through You" in film

I saw a movie trailer on TV for the comedy "Ghost Town" with Ricky Gervais (UK version of "The Office" and the voice of the Geico gecko) and Gregg Kinnear ("Talk Soup" on E!) and they were playing "I'm Looking Through You" in the background. I wonder if it is on the film soundtrack?

This is actually a book reference and it is for Wings, I am probably straying off topic a bit but I thought I would share...

The book is called Paranoia, by Joseph Finder.  A character in the book has the song "Band on the Run" in his head. His thoughts on this are:
"For some reason some sappy golden-oldie song was playing in my head- Band on the Run, by Paul McCartney in his unfortunate Wings period. A song I really detest, worse than anything by Celine Dion. The tune is annoying but catchy, like pinkeye, and the words make no sense". "A bell was ringing in the village square for the rabbits on the run!" Um okay?!  The damn song is circling in my head " The county judge held a grudge" "the jailer man and Sailor Sam" This is like chinese water torture! What did those stupid lyric mean anyway? Did anyone know?

On That '70s Show, they made a Wings reference. They were on TV, and then Eric got mad because Donna was sitting on his couch.

On the food channel, there's this show called Good Eats, and they were talking about peppers, and Sgt. Pepper came on the show as a guest.

In the show Charmed, there is a spell called the "Instant Karma spell".
Not exactly Beatles, but it is John Lennon.

IN the show That '70s Show, Donna says "Goo goo g'joob" while in the circle.

On Charmed, Clyde, some time travel guy, asked Piper and Phobe if they wanted to travel back in time. Phobe asked, "Can we go back in time and meet John Lennon? *looks at Piper* No, no we can't."

We were watching one of the older Midsomer Murders episodes the other day and I remembered it had a Beatles reference (grin). It's the Chief Inspectror's wife's birthday and he gives her a card that says "will you still need me, will you still feed me, when you're 84" (lol) and she doesn't happen to be the best cook around as far as "feeding" is concerned... ;)

Oh yeah, and in The Thin Blue Line series, in one episode the police officers are rehearsing for a court appearance and someone suggests to Rowan Atkinson's character that they need a judge, so he says "well we haven't got a judge! A glance about the room reveals no slumbering octogenerian who claims to never have heard of The Beatles!" ;D

The other day was watching a Crime programme called Silent Witness and at the end they played A Day In Thwe Life

Yoko appears on a episode of South Park and in a Halloween Special in The Simpsons you see a grave reading Paul McCartney

This is many months back, but I remember that "American Idol" had a Lennon/McCartney night.  I tried watching for a bit but had to stop because my ears bled from all the awfulness.  :o  I was surprised the judges liked some of the performances because I honestly thought it was an injustice to the Beatles.

The only one that I liked was David Cook's versions...  And I just love him, he's my future husband lol.  The one girl did Blackbird and it wasn't too bad, the judges didn't like it but I think it actually did some justice to the original.  David Archuletta did a cover of a Beatles cover.  I can't remember which one it was but it was just terrible, he forgot the lyrics!!  How can you forget the lyrics?????
