Well, I guess there really isnt much to tell about the Sinatra episode, but here goes. In the 60's a songwriters supposedly greatest feat was to have Sinatra accept and record a song that they had writen. Well, Paul was a teenager and decided to write a song for Sinatra once while lying in bed. Of course, Paul came up with the song 'Suicide' that he wrote in a cabaret style. Here are some lyrics from that song-
'If when she tries to run away and he calls her back she comes,,,,,it's okay, because she's under both his thumbs....'
'She'll limp along to his side.....I call it suicide!'
Paul admits that it was a horrible song. Anyways, years passed and one day in Abbey Road studios Sinatra called. He asked Paul for a song since the Beatles were big at the time and Paul had a reputation for writing songs for other artists that did well. Paul didnt have anything ready so he dug up 'Suicide' and made a demo for old Frank.
