Cheers. I don't tell many people.
i'm not too sure about the boyband thing though. They play instruments and write their own (rather good in my opinion) material. I've not seen any dodgy dance moves or any pushing of the "angry one", "cute one" "thoughtful one" images (actually, wasn't that started by The Beatles? I agree they are aimed straight at the tennybopper market, but weren't the mania era Beatles?

The next thing you gonna tell us is that you love The Moffats.

Ahhh, the Moffats! One of Canada's only boy bands.

Did you know that that group is composed of all brothers? They broke up because the keyboard player came out as gay and his family disowned him. Pretty sad, actually. He later turned up on Canadian Idol.

I don't know why I know this.

Actually that's one of my favourites too!!!  LOL.  The Moffats were amazing!  I'm pretty sure every Canadian girl that grew up in the 90s who had YTV would watch the Hit List every week to see their new video (heck, I know I did!!!)

This one was my favourite though!

McFly do Beatles/Queen/Kinks.
Not the greatest song in the world, but endearing enough for a no-good teen band.
Great pop and these guys appear to be having more fun than a young man deserves.
Probably why I prefer the joyous uninhibited "innocent" Rubber Soul over later  more contrived and self-aware works like Pepper.

Now you made me look! Not just brothers, but twins! From Wiki:
Quote
The Moffatts were a Canadian country music and subsequently pop/rock band, composed of brothers Scott, Clint, Bob and Dave Moffatt. Eldest brother Scott was born on March 30, 1983 in Whitehorse, Canada. Less than a year later, on March 8, 1984, triplets Bob, Clint and Dave were born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Although born on the same date, Bob and Clint are identical twins while Dave is a fraternal triplet.
Apparently one kind of twin wasn't enough; the Moffatts had to have two. :)

Really enjoying the links to these guilty-pleasure performances.

Aw, me, too. Having fun is infectious. Great link!
