I posted details in the Bootleg Forum but in case anyone else is interested, here's the info:



That book was written by Hans Olof Gottfridsson (he also provided the sleeve notes for the CD booklet of Beatle Bop). Initial copies also came with a free vinyl EP featuring:

* Sweet Georgia Brown (Bernie-Pinkard-Casey) May 24 1962 (Previously
unreleased stereo version)
* My Bonnie (Trad./Sheridan-Bertie) June 22-23 1961 (stereo)
* Swanee River (Stephen Foster) December 21 1961 (SINCE PROVEN THAT IT'S NOT THE BEATLES)
* My Bonnie (Slow English Intro) June 22-23 1961 (stereo)

Tony Sheridan recorded TWO versions of Swanee River - one with The Beatles and without. There is only one version left and it's sadly not The Beatles' version!

This EP is/was only available with early editions of the book and is now highly collectable! The cover photo of the EP was taken at The Beatles' first ever photo session in December 1961 (probably by Albert Marrion).

It WAS worth it at the time but it's over 6 years old now and further info has materialised since, such as Swannee River not being by the Beatles. Also, Eric Krasker has called into question the assumed setlists of the 1962 Star Club tapes.

Still an extremely informative read though!
