In June 1964, Peter and Gordon became the first British Invasion act after The Beatles to reach the number one spot on the American charts with A World Without Love...

Later that year, they recorded this song written by Del Shannon.  Del Shannon ran out of time at a studio session and didn't get a chance to record the song.  He demoed it to The Searchers but they weren't interested.  Peter Asher and Gordon Waller happened to overhear Del singing and asked if they could record the song.  I Go To Pieces went to #9 on the US charts...

I've always loved this song.  It was Peter and Gordon's fourth released single.  Their first three were written by Paul McCartney...
