John Lennon Tribute in Bermuda
The upcoming Bermuda John Lennon tribute— saluting the former Beatle’s 1980 extended stay on the island— will have three separate main events: the unveiling of a John Lennon sculpture, an exhibition of lithograph, and a Botanical Gardens’ “Double Fantasy” Labyrinth. Other events include the release of covers of Lennon and Beatle songs, a tribute CD, and a major concert. Liverpool-born John Lennon spent six weeks in Bermuda in 1980 editing, reworking and producing demonstration tapes of the songs that appeared on Double Fantasy and Milk & Honey, a posthumously released 1984 album.
