tkitna: You know, I kind of shared your dislike of The Long and Winding Road. It just seems that in my latter years, I've softened my stance when listening to it. It really seems like Paul's goodbye song to the Beatles to me now. One thing about it, I've always thought it was overplayed to the extent that you stop liking it. That's kind of like the movie, "The Night of the Living Dead." I've always thought that was probably the best zombie movie ever made and, in fact, it became a template for countless other zombie-themed movies. But now, I can hardly watch it because it's been way overplayed over the years. It's like the default movie for a horror fest movie night. I've also softened to Paul's song, Let it be. It's more satisfying to me now than it ever was before. I was never fond of it yet I was also unable to not sing along to it while it was playing and even afterward. Sometimes I like a Beatles song while I'm hearing it but not when it's not playing and I happen to think about it. Ob La Di is another example of that. I can say I don't like it but if it's playing I can't help but sing along to it.
