Let it Be Naked.Although this controversial re-issue may have attracted Anti-Mccartney slack, I feel the form and mood this album pushes foward symbolises the attitude and emotion that was felt in the 'dark' period...all those years ago.The original is smothered by the vital ( and unnesessary) ingredient of lush string arrangements, a forceful touch from the Walt Disney-like Spector. This fantasy light hearted injection goes against the very principles of Let It be, emphasising the slap-up route the Beatles took..and creating a sore contradiction of character.Enter Mccartney..Depart Strings..The harsh often brutally honest listen which is now heard on Naked brings across the cold sensation of the 'Let It be Sessions'..a remarkable insight, created merely from a wall of sound (minus a few bricks).
