We've had a perfect week! Sunny with a few clouds, high 70's - 80 degrees! I got 1/2 the veggie garden planted and some color to boot! I'm going to start mowing today as I can hear the grass growing!

Oh Kathy, I hate to tell you this but it's HOT here, and it will be this weekend. I don't want your snow but I could go for something in between. I think it's gonna be a long summer, at least for me!

More envy! I hope this summer's hot here, too. Ironically, when we were in Florida last July it was actually hotter in NoDak than it was in Ocala! How often does that happen?

Serious T-storms and tornado watch for the last 3 evenings.  We need the rain, but not the other stuff.

I love thunderstorms, but tornados terrify me. Now that I live in a state where tornados are a real possibility, I don't really enjoy thunderstorms because I worry that a supercell could develop at any minute.

Wichita Falls hasn't been hit with a serious tornado since 1979.  It's almost like there is a bubble over the town protecting it from the most severe weather.  Oklahoma, however....man, between the tornadoes and ice storms sometimes I think God hates Oklahoma!

The rain is great since we've been in a drought for several years.

Then may the bubble be full of rain only! We have had some tornadoes around here, but I've never experienced one. I have, however, hauled kids and dogs into the basement because of warnings. At least now the kids are grown!

I just saw on the news that a tornado did touch down in Texas, George. The article said it was about 100 miles from Dallas/Ft. Worth. Not sure if that is near Wichita Falls. The article was scant on details.

Hope it missed your town!

We're having great(!) weather recently. 70-80 in the day and 50's at night. Garden is 2/3 planted with 250 bush beans, 30 Brussels sprouts, tomato's, broccoli, spaghetti squash, zucchini, peppers etc.. I've got 36 more holes to fill and thought I'd do some cabbage and a few more squashes, cucumbers etc...

We could use some rain but only at night!

Seems that way! Some areas -- not ours, I hope -- are supposed to get 3 to 5 inches.
