They probably had to play the song a lot.   I love that line though. I think it's hilarious! :)

I used to think it was Paul for some crazy reason. You know when he uses the deeper shouting voice like on the song " I've Got A Feeling".

yeah, Paul needed John's "approval" for a lot of his song lyrics certainly not for his melodies--Paul was a master at melody, whereas John never had to struggle with words. I love that famous story about Paul being insecure about the line in "Hey Jude", "the movement you need is on your shoulder" and was ready to change it until John chimed in with "you won't ya know..don't change it, it's perfect" (I'm paraphrasing). I love when Macca retells this little anecdote on occasion--getting even a bit emotional about it, because, as Paul said "whenever I get to that part of the song, I think of John now". Nice one. One of the better Beatle stories.
