Saw this on another forum and some of the choices are so surprising!!

Here's one that cracked me up, but I see it!!


Always thought these two looked alike.

Are you sure Mairi ?
I seem to have a memory of it as a kid in the 60's it was a comedy ?  don't no why i would remember the name if i had'nt seen it , will have to ask my mum .
We did get lots of American shows in the 60's , remember watching I love Lucy and Julie that was about a black nurse Diane Carole i think ?
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea , Land of the Giants, Lost in Space and Star Trek i remember from that period .

Your nearly right Mairi only 13 episodes were ever shown in the UK , i most be one of the few who watched it  :D
Just looked it up on wikapedia , i do remember the general plot and the character Skipper i must have been all of five or six when it was briefly shown here , fancy remembering that from 42 years ago , my brains not as pickled as i thought  :D ;)

The reason people know Gilligan's Island so well over here is because of the CONSTANT replays of the show! The same ones over and over and over again. Kinda like The Brady Bunch. Gilligan (and the rest) is iconic in American pop culture.



Mary Ann, Ginger, and Mrs Howell as the Honey Bees. I'm pretty sure the four island visitors this episode were a parody of the Beatles! They often had people discovering their island, yet for some reason they could just never get off that damn island.

Most guys have fond memories of it because of Ginger and Mary Anne. There's still this never ending ongoing amongst guys about which one was hotter.  ;D

Little Daveram would'nt no about such stuff Sondra , in those days it was inoccent pleasures like Match Box Cars  ;D
It's the older guy in the sailor hat i remember , was he in Casey Jones about a train driver ?
I wonder why it was only shown briefly in the UK it looks like the kind of show that would have caught on .
