Rick James and Neil Young?

Just read a facinating article about how Rick James and Neil Young were once in a band together! They were the only white band -Rick to ever be signed to "Motown Records"! The band was financed by a well to do guy who was aire to the "Eaton" Department store fortune at the time! Unfortunatley Rick James had gone awol from the US Navy and had to return for his duty so the band imploded and their record was never released by Motown! This is all a true story and would make a great article for Rolling Stone sometime!

This is false. 'Rare Earth' was a white band signed to Motown and the only successful white motown group also.

Really Rare Earth? I remember they had one popular song? Like "I Was Born To Wander" or something?
