Harmonies: Beatles or Hollies?
« on: September 22, 2007, 08:51:47 PM »

Fendertele's great thread about Beatles or Beach Boys got me thinking about the Hollies, another uber-harmony group of the 60's (I've been listening to the Hollie's "Best of ..." lately).

I like the Beatles a bit more ... sometimes I think the Hollies are actually a bit out of tune on some of their voices ?

What do you folks think?

harmony-wise, Hollies. Graham Nash & Alan Clarke had a mellifluous sound when their vocals blended. "King Midas In Reverse" "Carrie Anne" "Sorry Suzanne" are cases in point.
