We packed up the dog and headed to Ithaca, NY to visit our daughter yesterday. That’s in the Finger Lakes Region and this is the southern tip of Cayuga Lake.



The park we were at when I took this picture has an interesting history. Between 1915 and 1919 it was leased by Wharton Studios, which made silent movies. The original building is still there. I didn’t know any of this while we were visiting, though. I just happened to notice a very old looking boat house when were on the walking trail. I looked up the park’s history when we got home and now I have a new obsession. LOL

You're going to become a silent screen actress?   ;D

I love the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.  I'll be going there next week for a track event at Watkins Glen International which is near the southern tip of Seneca Lake, just west of Cayuga Lake.
