Don't have time now to read the whole thing but am finding it interesting.  Having only ever been exposed to UK releases, this is a lot of new information for me.


As a total fence sitter on this article, I would be very interested to know what is ridiculous about it.  Maybe another great discussion!

I like Capitol Records; they put songs on another album so that we can listen to something different than the original albums. Remember that the original songs were produced by great producers and artists. I don't think it's a rare combination they picked for the albums.
OK, maybe fans will buy the records because they heard the music in their younger years and of course they're on CD ;)

I do agree a bit with the article (LOL) but what's the deal with the echo? A few of us (who have the albums) wouldn't have noticed it before reading this article.

If you have the Beatles "second album" on Capitol, how could you have not noticed the echo on that lp? It almost sounds like they were in the mens room.
