The Beatles released new albums in the U.K. in time for Christmas in 1963-With The Beatles (11/22), 1964-Beatles For Sale (12/4), and 1965-Rubber Soul (12/3).
Revolver was released on 8/5/66. No new Beatles material would be released for the 1966 Christmas season. EMI put together A Collection Of Beatles Oldies, which contained several non-LP hit singles, "Eleanor Rigby/Yellow Submarine", which was released as a single from Revolver, "Yesterday" from the Help! album, "Michelle" from Rubber Soul, and "Bad Boy" which had never been released in the U.K.
1967 had the Magical Mystery Tour E.P. released for Christmas and 1968 had the White Album.
1969 had nothing for Christmas.
