I have only made is in about 30 from the bottom and have already b****ed a storm.

many of the comments on their lower ranked songs and how they are worded tell me a couple of things:
1 - writer doesn't appear to be a big fan overall
2 - writer may have listened to unfamiliar songs once and ranked them
3 - writer certainly doesn't like the white album, or probably read somewhere that they were each working as session musicians to each other during and that they disliked each other blah blah blah, he bashes the white album quite a bit

I’m reading it more from morbid curiosity now. It seems inconsistent, with songs ranked higher getting worse reviews thank ones lower. Sie Liebt Dich is ranked above songs like Every Little Thing, despite the latter getting a favourable comment.

agreed, maybe it was a group effort, people put comments on songs, then ranked?

Yes remember there was another ranking done a few years ago which included views of other musicians. It was incoherent. Not helped by Noel Gallagher supposedly naming Now and Then as his favourite Beatle song.

Kev, I was referring to the entire article when I made that comment and not to the authors' remarks about the song itself. Though their comment was generally positive, The Beatles certainly were not "coasting" when they wrote and recorded Every Little Thing. They were working very hard at the time. Touring, song writing, recording, and motion picture filming certainly were taking their toll as evident in how tired they looked on the album cover...
