I'm pretty sure this pic was taken at an after party in Hamburg during their '66 tour. He had the Sonic Blue 1961 Stratocaster at this time, but no white Fender, must be a loaner. Dana ; )

The pic was taken during the filming of Help when the band was staying in a hotel in Austria. There was a singer with a backing band playing in the hotel and John and Paul jammed with them one night and John borrowed the guitar from a member of the band. I can't just remember the singer's name but I have it somewhere. I think he was German.
