That video brings back so many memories. If memory serves correctly (ha), that was their allegedly "final" performance on December 17, 1982.

And yeah, those microphone swings are great!  :)

Pete Townshend looks like he's having fun in this. Watching that clip was a pleasant break from my work today.

I'm not much of a Who fan either, Kev.  I liked their mid-60s British Invasion stuff (Magic Bus, My Generation) but lost interest in them with Tommy.  I sure liked Squeeze Box though!   ;D

I’ve always liked The Who. At various stages have been up there with my favourite groups. I even bought their albums up to It’s Hard in 1982. Pete Townsend’s solo record Empty Glass was good too I thought.

To me they’re interesting as they were less blues influenced than most of the harder rock bands that came through in the sixties. And Pete to me is right up there as a songwriter.

I liked Happy Jack.

Back in England in the late 60's there were Mods & Rockers. The Who were very much a Mod group. The Scooter boys loved them. Both me and my big brother were Rockers. We loved our Triumph Bonneville and Norton motorbikes.  ha2ha

I would imagine that most girls preferred Rockers. That sexy bad-boy image has near-universal appeal.  ;)

The guy I sold that too in the early 70's still has it and it hasn't deteriorated at all (wish I still had it)
