Well we have finally done it ......our youngest son moved out in May and not long after we put the house on the market , it sold within a few days and we found a nice apartment to move to in Southport on the Gold Coast Queensland , it all seems to happen so fast we had to get rid of tons of stuff moving from 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment but we have now been in the apartment for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it so far we are approximately 1 minute walk from the beach and we have spent so much time walking cycling and swimming in the last 2 weeks that I already feel much healthier fitter and slimmer, the car has hardly moved as we can walk or cycle or get the tram to shops.
We have booked another cruise for February this time it's half a world cruise from Brisbane to Barcelona in Spain via India and the Middle East the whole trip will be about 3 months so it will feel a lot more secure closing the door on our apartment then it would leaving a house with long grass mailboxes etc.....we can just tell the manager here that we will be away for 3 months and she will empty our mailbox which is internal anyway
so there you go a new life for us, this retirement Lark isn't bad
