Is a short story. Once had a pair - George Harrison and Patty Boyd.
There was also another man. Eric Clapton.
George and Clapton were friends.
And one day, George sat in the garden of Clapton. Wrote the song - "here comes the sun."
In return - Eric stole the wife of George ..
Since then. Mankind could not get over it.
And we are. And we're going to do something about it (despite his more than 40 years since ...)
That something is called: Operation revenge on Eric Clapton!

I'm sorry to burst your bubble here but in Clapton's autobiography he said that George had once asked him to "spend the night" with her because he wanted to take out Pattie's sister (take what you will out of that), and that George gave his blessing on Eric and Pattie's relationship.  I'm not a Pattie Boyd fan, and I'm kinda sad how this kinda makes George look like a jerk, but really, I'd much rather take the word from the mouth of a person that was there.

Much as I absolutely adore George, he could have treated Pattie better.  Of course, she may not have treated him that well either, stories vary.  That probably is what I like least about George, and it's so out of character that I can only attribute it to drugs, and to the entitlement-circus which was going on around them.  I also think he was psychologically warped by all the Beatlemania, at least until he was able to come to terms with it in later years.  He did go on to marry again and have a mature relationship which lasted until his death.  As did Eric Clapton, actually.  He comes across in books as a very despicable person, but he also left Pattie, cleaned up and got sober, now is married with several daughters.

Maybe you should try to read a little more before making statements like this.

That probably is what I like least about George, and it's so out of character that I can only attribute it to drugs, and to the entitlement-circus which was going on around them. 

How do we know that it's out of character? What is known is that like Lennon, he was a drug taking womaniser. That WAS his character.

This really is one of the silliest topics posted recently. Lucy, I know like most new members you want to start some of your own threads, but at least base them in part on some fact. A little research goes a long way.
