Hmmm... Now I'm pretty sure someone posted a reply to my last post in this topic which included scans of bootlegs that had that song on it... Are there things mysteriously vanishing from this board or is it just me?

Biscuit, I may have deleted the thread that your speaking of, but it didnt contain any scans of the bootlegs. Dirk posted a reply, but it only had the date that the song was issied (1984), the original artist (Everly Brothers), the lyrics to the songs, and a message at the bottom of the post that there were NO bootlegs avaliable for this song. The post was meaningless to the information that you were seeking. Sorry I deleted it before you could read it, but my hatred for Dirk (although if his posts are actually informative, I let them go) got the best of me and I am at fault for that.

If there was a different post that the one i'm speaking of, I had nothing to do with that.

I think "On the wings of a nightingale" by The Everly Brothers is definately one of Paul's very best post-Beatles compositions... I love that song.

Has that demo ever been released officially anywhere? I'd love to hear that...

You found it yet? Because it does exist... It's on a bootleg called The Songs The Beatles Gave Away.
