Only ten more days to go till LIVERPOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My brother and myself are travelling down to Liverpool from Newcastle on 27th August (10 days to go!!) and leaving on 30th August. We've been to the Mathew Street Festival before (last one 2003) and, both of us being big Beatles fans, found the experience very very worthwhile.
The open air stages on Bank Holiday Monday are something else, especially the one dedicated to Beatle tribute bands. Let me tell you there are some class bands too. Of course we'll be visiting The Cavern Club, Revolver, Lennon's Bar and generally getting drunk and singing along to all those Fab Four songs!
Almost every pub you go into has Beatles music and live bands during the course of the weekend. I really can't wait. We're staying at The Ibis Hotel opposite Albert Docks. Why not pop in and join us for drinks and Beatle talk. Just ask for Michael & Stephen. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
