  • What would the The Beatles be without Ringo?

I like both but what can I tell you I am a Ringo fan!  His voice wasn't that great in his early Beatles songs but hen he got to "Yellow Submarine" and "With A Little Help From My Friends" Ringo's voice just hits the spot and I can't picture anyone else singing those songs.  That is why I don't like the Joe Crocker version of "With A Little Help From My Friends" because it is slowed down way to much and the songs is also basically Ringo's trademark now.  For drumming I love him on everything he did because he just sets the mood of the song and provides a solid, metronome like drumbeat.  Lately I've been listening to like "Old Brown Shoe" and "The End" and I just love the drumming he is amazing what can I say and I am sick of him being so underated he is just as talented as the other 3.  As John once said, "Ringo was a Star in his own right before we even had a drummer."  I paraphrased there but the sentiment is the same John, Paul, and George have all said that Ringo is the greatest drummer.  Interesting note when watching "Give My Regards To Broadstreet" reccently I noticed that  on "Ballroom Dancing" Ringo played drums as he did with all of the songs in that movie.  Anyway I heard the version from "Tug of War" and I kind of thought my, Ringo did a good job of copying the drumming from that album.  Little to my suprise I found out that Ringo played the drums on "Tug Of War" to so he was just copying his own drumming anyways.

I like both but just when he does it at the same time. Because normally in his All-Starr tours and stuff, he gets off the drums to sing, and off the mic to drum, and that I don't like

Has anyone else heard that Ringo has publicly stated that he feels unloved by the British public?...I was well sad to hear that...Also he MUST know that's not true...He's an absolute HERO!!! Funny and so nice in interviews always. Hemust be having another insecure moment....Oh well..Thought if he read this thread he should know it's not true!!!!

His screaming alchohol shows a man not happy with himself ( I think)
I saw him on Tv recently doing the rounds plugging his postcards book. I thought "is that RINGO!" I found it a bit unsettling-don't know why.
