Today I accidentally discovered that my husband had downloaded a backwards version of "Revolution 9" on the computer's mp3 player. I was just sifting through my Beatles playlist as usual and stumbled upon it. (Why he hasn't told me about this download, I don't know, I'll have to ask him later...) It was neat getting to listen to this track backwards! We had both grown up during the audiocassette and CD eras, so we've never had the luxury of being able to mess with actual records on turntables.
I've come to the odd initial conclusion that "Revolution 9" is more interesting
backward than forward. I've never bought into the ridiculous "Paul is dead" rumors, but I get a kick out of hearing "Turn me on, dead man; turn me on, dead man"!
