Nice song. Some different stuff from previous songs. I like the back ground vocal interplay the best.

Yeah, thanks for that.

Did Beatles For Sale use The Hohner Pianet more than other albums?

Here's some info I didn't know about this instrument :

You're welcome, zipp.  That's my Pianet N pictured above.  It had its pads replaced a few years ago and plays nicely.

Here's the thread I started just after I bought it:  Hohner Pianet N

This article lists Beatles songs where the Pianet is played:  The Beatles' Hohner Pianets

A few of my favorite non-Beatles songs featuring the Pianet...

Great article about the Pianet and the Beatles.

I think so too.  From that article we learn that The Beatles had a Pianet N with a Fender amp standing by behind George at their Rooftop Concert...

Wow I’d never noticed that. What were they thinking it would be needed for?

I just read that maybe it was a back-up for Billy Preston.

Was the pianet actually used in the studio during the Get Back sessions?

Maybe they were planning to do Revolution in which case Billy Preston would have played it.

In the original recording of Revolution, Nicky Hopkins played the Hohner Cembalet, similar to the Pianet but with a slight metallic sound to its voicing...

Here's Nicky Hopkins playing an upright piano on this 1985 Spongetones performance of Revolution...

That's also a possibility, zipp.

Billy Preston played a Fender Rhodes MK1 Sparkle top Suitcase Electric piano on the rooftop...

...you can see it partially obscured by the corrugated metal roof awning in the piture I posted above.

Was the pianet actually used in the studio during the Get Back sessions?

I'm not sure.  I didn't see it in any of the photographs I've seen.

I do see the Lowrey DSO Heritage organ behind George and John...

Thanks for the answers.

As for Help! it's a good job they only wanted to steal Ringo's ring and not their pianet.
