They did drink beer in the Hamburg days while they were performing. (Or am I wrong? Because I can't really remember. :) )

They would have been great even without drugs.

Though I must admit, some of the drugs effect on them generated great songs... a day in the life, lucy in the sky with diamonds....

but without the drugs you wouldnt of had half of the songs they wrote.. taking certain drugs and writing music can be a good combo, if in the right hands :)

no clapton didnt introduce the Beatles to drugs... they 1st started taking drugs in hamburg ( speed ) then Dylan introduced them to ( Pot )

DID THE BEATLES DRINK??? LOL!! Of course. John was a big drunk in the 60's. And then we all know about Ringo who had to go into rehab in the 80's because him and Barbara were really bad into it!!!!

Might I add, John was a very violent drunk--which was one of his habits. He had a horrible temper.
