Of course everybody has different tastes and all that, but I don't think these lists don't make sense. I think it's fun to see which albums are ranked after a bunch of people in the music indudtry give their opinions.

I think Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and Pink Floyd should be at least in the top 20.

id like to see Nirvana higher up the list and Hendrix. Beatles are a great band its true, but Bands like Silverchair and Nirvana are pretty f***ing good too!

I agree, Nirvana should have been up higher, especially In Utero, and Nevermind deserved a top 10 place
Silverchair is a good band too
I got 40 out of 500 (13 of them beatles/solo records), but then again i only got about 200 cd´s. How about you ?? I also got a lot of records by female artist, which never made in to these list.
I've got 34 out of 500, which isn't much considering I have 1400 cds... I have a very un-commercial taste though.

I really don't understand why any member of the White Stripes would appear on a list having anything to do with musicianship..and where is Steve Howe?

Jack White does have some talent playing the guitar. How Kobain is that high i'll never know. I also agree with you about Steve Howe. He's a monster player.

sure he has some talent...don't get me wrong i LOVE the white stripes..i just never took Jack for a "monster" guitarist. Steve Howe should be in the top 10...defenitely ahead of Kobain.

Although MMT is a great collection of work, I dont really class it as an official album.

The only thing is that I coulda sworn I saw "Greatest Hits" collections in there from various bands. I also thought I saw Past Masters, but I'm not too sure about that. If either is the case, MMT shoulda been there. I know this is subjective, but MMT really has an incredible selection of works.

It's funny, half the albums in the top five wouldn't have existed if it weren't for the other half! Why isn't there any of this creative insperation going on nowadays!

Just curious as to your reasoning behind this.
