I've rarely seen so much discussion, and so many differences of opinion regarding an ex-fab's album. So I've downloaded it and stuck it on my iPod. I shall give you my cultured opinion in a couple of days. ;)

I dont know. My music taste is weird right now. I'm into 60's psych really hard along with trying to find newer bands that sound like 60's bands (yeah, I know), so I thought i'd like this offering from Paul since i've heard such favorable reviews. Nope, didnt happen. It just sounds like a mess to me. Paul trying different noises and so forth instead of concentrating on the songs themselves. I dont know whats going on with me. I didnt like 'Memory Almost Full' either and I know I would have lapped that album up 4 or 5 years ago. Whatever.

I like the messiness of EA and the fact only couple of the songs sound finished .
This album sounds like the inside of Paul's head , a kind of  kinetic whirlpool ?

i think MAF & EA are some of Macca's finest works in the last 10 years, at least since flaming pie!

I've heard the album now and I really like the first 9 songs but the last 4 I find boring, I just can't get into those last songs, don't know why.

My favorites were "Sing The Changes" and "Sun Is Shining"

I've listened to it a few times now. I'm afraid I still can't stand 'Nothing Too Much Just Out Of Sight'. Maybe if it was a couple of minutes shorter I could bear it more. In fact several of the songs are too long IMO. But I pretty much like everything from 'Two Magpies' to 'Lifelong Passion'. I don't mind ambient music on the whole, but the stuff at the end seems like it's been stuck on there as filler. I think if they'd edited the ambient stuff into smaller segments and used them as interludes between songs it would have been better.

Basically, it sounds rushed, which I know it was deliberately. But I don't see the point in not taking a little more care.

Agree Paul from Two Magpies to Life Long Passion i think it's really great ,maybe it would have worked better as a ten track album ?
I like the messiness , i think if it was to polished though it would lose some of it's charm .

I'm not going to bash the album anymore as i've already made my stance, but i'd like to add that I think 'Two Magpies' might be the worst tune on the album. Pauls elderly falsetto fails with me.

I like the album as a whole but as tkitna said, not much of a fan of the falsettos...

Electric Arguments climbs back up the Billboard album charts at # 91.
It was # 166 last week , it's now spent 8 week on the US chart , looks like Pau's little trip to America as breathed some new life into this great album (thumbsup)

Two appearances (The View and Howard Stern) brings the album back to life only for it to die a permanant death next week.

Andy, I like your new signature pics.  I had the Red and Blue albums as a kid and those pics bring back lots of great Beatle memories for me. :)
