The Quarry Men play in Rosebery Street - first appearance in public - in `Empire Day' celebration. They play on the back of a lorry and are not paid for the job.

The Quarrymen perform at the St. Peter's Woolton Parish Church Fete, Liverpool. Ivan Vaughan introduces Paul to John. John was performing `Come and Go With Me' when Paul first saw him today.

The Quarry Men, without Paul, perform for the first time at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. John attempts to play some rock and roll but got a note from owner Alan Sytner to `cut the bloody rock'.
