Just listened to it on headphones. Sounds like Rain to me.

OK ... the thing was that I've never heard that word  :-/ ... it's su-posedd to be that but ... it happens more or less the same with the infamous lyrics of Doors' The End ... you already know which words I'm talking about  ;) ... you can't hear hem but you know they must be there ... or wish!  ;D

You've defeated me. WTF are you on about? Rain sounds like...what?

raxo

Like a mere sound ... no like a defined word (due to the mixing?) ... but it seems it's only me the one who can't hear cl-early "rain" ... it doesn't matter  :)

For over 30 years, everytime I listen to "The Answer's at the End" on Extra Texure when George says, "Life is one long enigma my friend, read on read on the answer's at the end", I thought he was saying, "Life is one long anagram my friend" -which made total sense.  Then I saw the lyrics in print, but I didn't know what an enigma was, so I thought it said, "Life is one long enema my friend"!  Oh well, Live on live on the answer's at the end!

That's hilarious! Moreover, with Harrison's sense of humor, he just might have said that. Cheers.  :D

All you've got to do is choose love.  That's how I live it now.  I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden.  I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007<br />

Hialrious, indeed! ;D
It seems that he was playing with the words in that album:

"Points of interest: Perhaps a joke referencing the impending demise of The Beatles' Apple Records label, the Apple logo is presented on Extra Texture (Read All About It) all eaten away. In addition, Harrison is pictured on the inside jacket with the caption "OHNOTHIMAGEN" (i.e. "Oh, not him again!"); a humorous take on Harrison's dwindling popularity at this time."

I was always pretty good (or just lucky) at picking the correct lyric.  One that does come to mind however is the ad libbing at the end of "Hey Bulldog".  Instead of "clap", I thought Paul said "quack".

J+P) "Hey Bulldog ..."
P) "Hey man"
J) "What

Here's another clue for you all; the Walrus was Paul...

So, you're telling me it isn't?  ;)

In Lend Me Your Comb, John sings: I got to go past, my hair is a mess.
I always thought it was: I gotta confess, my hair is a mess.
Which is close to the truth, actually.  ;D

Blue Jay Way

The real lyric: Theres a fog upon L.A.

I hear: Theres a frog upon a lake

makes perfect sense

I thought he WAS singing 'There's a fog upon a lake'. Sounds more mysterious to me, in line with the song.

Well, it is about the Blue Jay Way in Los Angeles, isn't it?
