The Who is the reason I hated the Beatles for so many years, ironically! I'm a devoted fan (as you know), but everyone always raved about the Beatles being "the best," and it always made me mad. (I was a not-very-mature teenager.) Then when I finally started listening to the Beatles, I was hooked and have been ever since.

Yeah, isn't it funny!  They also took me to an area in St. Louis called "Gaslite Square" it was where the "beatniks" hung out. I remember looking out the window at the guys sitting on the corner, playing bongos and singing, and I thought "yeah, baby, that's for me!"

I was 11 or 12, around the time Nsync, Backstreet Boys, 98* and all those boybands were coming out, and my friends were getting into them... I thought "This is garbage! I'm not listening to all this crap!" Then my dad started downloading Beatles music one day, and it was instant love... haven't turned back since! Thanks Daddy
