I had to share. I went to Liverpool and London with my sister in 2022. Here are a few pictures. We went on a London Beatles cab tour that saw all the Beatles-related locations. We also went on a Liverpool Beatles cab tour. If you ever go, these cab tours are worth every penny, as you go to every Beatle spot without the stress of finding your way yourself. You also get out of the cabs at every spot and can take your time. The tours last a long time too; the London one was about 4 hours and the Liverpool one was 8 hours.

We went for 10 days; also saw some other cool places like the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. I would love to go back someday! Has anyone here went? I'd love to hear about it!

Paul's home in London:

The setting sun hitting Big Ben perfectly:

We saw "The Cavern Beatles" band playing at the Cavern. The place was packed and so hyped full of tourists and local Liverpudlians! Truly the best crowd I've ever been around. This band plays the Cavern every weekend. This John was the best impersonator EVER. I believe he is Adam Hastings:

This is the exact spot the teenage Beatles played at the Casbah. We took a whole tour of the Casbah that lasted about an hour. So amazing. Paul as a teen painted the ceiling you see here. All of the band members helped paint the whole club and they have kept it close to exactly how it was back then. You can touch everything in there too!:

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes:

Paul's childhood home:

John's childhood home:

The Eleanor Rigby gravesite. What a beautiful cemetery and St. Peter's Church nearby:

The barber shop in Penny Lane. The Beatles got haircuts here, and Paul stopped in a few years back for an episode of "Carpool Karaoke":

A beautiful day in London:

Thanks for looking!

Hello Goodbye

Thanks for posting those photos.  Both of you are so lucky to have made that tour...and the crossing!  :)

In My Life

Quote from: Beatlemaniac64 on Oct 26, 2024, 10:21 AMI had to share. I went to Liverpool and London with my sister in 2022.

I was hoping you would! I saw that you were back and it occurred to me that Facebook hasn't shown me anything from you in a long time. I looked for you, hoping we were still friends, and saw that you took this trip. How wonderful for you and your sister! I love seeing what you experienced and I think the part I'd like best is the Casbah. I would be touching everything! I'd love to make that journey but I'm not sure it will ever happen. I'm so glad you've joined us again, Julia, and that you shared!

Thanks Barry! That truly would be fab if it was the same phone booth, haha. I think it's very cool that they keep the phone booths around London, even though they're out of use. Shows an appreciation for the past.

Thanks Kelley! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. Yes the Casbah was truly incredible. I hope one day you will get to go.
