Yes, it was The Knickerbockers that had a hit with Lies in 1965...



They were a "garage band" from Bergenfield, New Jersey.  they wanted to sound like a British Invasion band, and they did!

The Knickerbockers were invited back to Hollywood a Go Go a second time to perform Lies...



I remember both shows and tuned in regulalrly to watch the cute Gazzarri Dancers do their dance routines.   :)
