What's wrong? It went off topic somewhat but that's not unusual.

pc31, were you flirting with a stranger over the Internet? Careful not to scare off anyone we might want information from... :P

This is all very interesting, to the point where I've kept my fiancée waiting. I told her I'd go to bed and call her cell phone to say goodnight within a few minutes, and it's been more than a few minutes. I better go...  ;sorry

I forget to tell you all that Bill and Liverbird have been in contact after all.

Xose, Bill might have a renewed entry on Norman Chapman and might be able to help you.

Fascinating thread and I'm a bit late to the game here, but I've always found Norman Chapman to be one of the more interesting people in the entire Beatles saga. Afterall, without the draft notice to go into the army, he would have likely been Ringo. I'm surprised he's not a bigger story.

pc31

i beg to differ...the most irreplacable beatle was ringo...the non ego was an essential piece of the puzzle...

Nada Surf

I think you missed the point, PC...
Had Chapman not been called for duty, there might have been no need for Ringo.
Besides, Ringo could have been as cool and as fun as anyone, but the Beatles never would have made it without the brilliant songwriting of Lennon and McCartney.

Bobber

It appears that the picture mentioned before was indeed not Norman Chapman, but Tommy Moore.

Norman Chapman is on the left. BTW Derry Wilkie (Derry and the Seniors) is on the right.
