There's still wineries down here that use corks but it's getting increasingly infrequent. So much that when I do find a bottle with a cork I really resent the effort to open it.
I'll definitely drink to that. Or to most anything really.
We also have these sort of hybrid things here that are like plastic corks. They are the hardest to get open. ^^^^^^I think you're right, Moodmodule. I know I recoiled for several years at screw-top wine bottles, but after doing some searching online, and continuing to shop for wine (of course!), I see the stigma is increasing.
I don't think I ever drank Boone's Farm Wine, but I did consume my share of <retch> Meister Brau beer and <double retch> Everclear, which I still see in stores.
