Being a bit of a Prog fan its inevitable that my favourite Oz band is Sebastian Hardie

Mario Millo probably imo the best guitarist to come out of Oz (not counting Tommy Emmanuel who is phenomenal) Mario has that touch.
This is an instrumental piece from their great album...4 Moments

Very nice tune. He does the violin style tremolo which you don’t see as often in more Blues influenced players. I see in the comments they were Jon English’s backing band for a while.

One question. How did they get Pete Ham as bass player?

Haha he does look incredibly like Pete Ham

Theres not much of them on you tube, a few from their 2012 album but not much old stuff, and I think Jon was actually in the band in an early incarnation.

That 70's album 4 Moments is a classic though (if you like Prog)

Have very find memories of growing up as a kid in country Victoria and watching Countdown every Sunday night. At the time, Molly Meldrum was consiered a bit of a tol and I recall hating him as he sucked up to stars from around the world (ironically he lived in my hometown of Kyabram for awhile and Dad used to say how he'd see him at school etc)  But he's now looked upon as the Godfather of Aussie music as he opened the doors for so many local acts. He also worked for the Beatles at Apple for a bit lol. And he's the number one ticket holder of my foot team St.Kilda and has suffered the pain along with us other long time Sainters of losing Grand Finals. His autobiog is a great read too

We used to watch Countdown every Sunday as well.  Molly was a classic. His bumbling interviews are legendary. I recall one with Rod Stewart where he was trying to ask some question in his normal roundabout and hesitating style and Rod turned to the camera and shook his head.

I put Mario on a par with the great British guitarists who also have that touch/feel like Peter Green, Mick Taylor, David Gilmour, even Clapton.
Playing like that takes an awful lot of skill.
If I lived till 150 Id never be able to do it.

Yep Kevin Ayers is a grand old man of Aussie rock/fusion.
