And that's too bad. Steve Miller has been around since the mid-60s. Blues, blues rock, psychedelic rock, pop-rock...he did it all and did it well. And still does!
The Steve Miller Band was in no way an outfit with disproportionately huge soft rock-ish appeal to us guys across the pond.
And let's not forget that he has a Beatles/McCartney connection and that Steve and Paul are long time pals and collaborators:
Glyn Johns produced Miller's first four albums;
McCartney sang backing vocals and played drums, guitar, and bass on various tracks on Miller's third album;
Miller appeared on the Flaming Pie LP playing guitar and singing backing, and sharing lead, vocals on several tracks.
I think he's produced some awesome music!
