^ Interesting modern choices, man. I liked what I've heard from Tame Impala (they're the ones with the Lennon-sounding vocalist, right?) but haven't checked out their albums. Are they worth looking into? Of Montreal rules, love Satanic Panic In The Attic and Gay Parade. I'll check some of the others out.
God allowed you to choose 10 bands. He only allowed me to choose 9.
Ovi, I have both Tame Impala albums and their EP-I like their music a lot. If you like Tampe Impala you should check out Temples; similar psychedelic vibe with very melodic, hook laden songs.http://youtu.be/K0pc1bFUbLo
Huh?
This is just a game, Ovi. I believe the bands I mentioned belong to Heaven, or at least to my vision of Heaven.
The lead singer leaves me a bit cold, but sounds quite good otherwise. I'll check other of their songs out.
I don't mind the vocals. They're nothing great, but to me they kind of fit in with the music as another instrument lending to the atmosphere. Tame Impala's vocals are kind of similar.
That I agree with. Kinda makes me wonder though - are there any 'rock' singers from the last decade or so can be qualified as great, more than just suitable for the style their band plays? Mostly subjective, but from what I've heard I can't think of one right now that I would put in the same category as say, Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Liam (Oasis) or Jeff Magnum (Neutral Milk Hotel) or Kurt Cobain (all from the 90's).
Damn. I did post up 10 of them. Sorry. My reading comprehension isn't what it used to be.
