The Best Of CHER -The Imperial Recordings 1965 -1968 .
Picked this double CD up at the supermarket for 3 pounds another bargain
It's really quit good it collects together songs from her first 5 solo albums on Imperial Records all produced by Sonny 44 tracks in all .
She really favoured Dylan's work at least dozen of his songs covered by her , love Bang Bang (My Baby Shout Me Down ) and her theme song to Michael Caine's film Alfie maybe not as well known as the UK # 9 hit version by Cilla Black , but a better reading of the song i would say .
Whats good is the first 12 songs are the entire All I Really Want To Do album from (1965) which as yet as not been released on CD .
I'm not a massive fan of her later work , but these remastered 60's solo songs are really good and her voice was different back in the 60's less deep in tone , much younger sounding i suppose , a nice collection
