Hi, this is a piece called The Beatles In Colour that I recently did. I hope you enjoy it.

There are other pieces at my site, including Robert Mitchum, Kelly's Heroes, Peter O'Toole, The Supremes, and various ladies and monsters. You can even buy the Beatles pic as a limited edition canvas print.

Welcome. Join in a bit!

I will, I'm just working on a new piece right now, Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood. But I will share a little Beatles story.

A couple of years ago some friends went to an art exhibition. I declined the invitation, only to discover when they came home that they had ended up sitting two tables away from Paul McCartney playing an impromptu piano set! I was pretty gutted to have missed it, but glad for my friend who is as big a Beatles fan as you can get.

Now let me get back to Lee's moustache for a bit. Cheers!

at the moment i'm reading a book about how to draw facial expressions. it's well writen and explains pretty good... i'm not through yet but i finished the chapter "smiling" and had to think of george with his big smile.... so this is just a little first-try-sketch to keep in mind what i've learned is important when drawing emotions. but it's a drawing and it's a beatle, so i think it fits here  ;D

but there's something i don't like about the corner of the mouth and his left eye... i just don't know what it is. it's just wrong
