Thought I'd post more Tammi:

Tammi Terrell - It's been a long time happening

Tammi Terrell - Come On And See Me

A great, previously unreleased duet with Marvin:
MarvinGaye&TammiTerrell 1968 "We'll Be Satisfied" MOTOWN-158

Here's something she cut (pre-Motown) for James Brown's Try Me label, written by him too. Amazing.
Tammi Terrell I Cried

And here's the wonderful documentary series Unsung. This is Tammi's episode:
Unsung (Documentary) - Tammi Terrell

Hi Strawberry Field! I can tell that you really like the late great TAMMI TERRELL, she was one hell of a singer! She and MARVIN were the perfect Duet Duo, they both complimented each other perfectly musically. Here's another from TAMMI TERRELL!

Tammi Terrell - I can't go on without you

1929:  Born on this day, Berry Gordy, founder of Motown Records, former boxer, composer. He wrote and co-wrote many songs, including "Lonely Teardrops" for Jackie Wilson. The success of this and other early songs helped him get into the recording business. I've seen Wilson refered to as a Motown artist but from what I've read he really wasn't. But since he helped get the ball rolling financially and was extremely cool I'm taking the liberty of posting "Lonely Teardrops" here.  ;D

Right, Kelley.  MOTOWN didn't exist when Jackie Wilson recorded Lonely Teardrops in 1958 for Brunswick...

It's part of MOTOWN's lineage.

MOTOWN, TAMLA, Atlantic, STAX....

The question is:  "Do you like good music?"

Here's one from THE JACKSONS! In my opinion, this song would give the indication of what was yet to come from MCHAEL JACKSON the following year. Enjoy!
