After a long string of disappointing novels, I stumbled across two ones that I really loved:
Bath Haus by P. J. Vernon and
Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant. The latter in particular was a pleasant surprise; it's reminiscient of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child's earlier works.
I also really enjoyed
All Together Now by Matthew Norman. One of the characters is a big Beatles fan. Always nice to see the Fab Four mentioned in any capacity.
Back to my strait-laced current editorial project, which isn't nearly as much fun.
