I like it a lot. Would the style of this song be considered rockabilly? PC? Anyone?
MrMustard is absolutely right, it really sounds like Simon and Garfunkel to me. But which came first, Simon and Garfunkel or Paul's song - were the duo established when Help was being made? Could Paul have been influenced by Paul Simon here? It certainly makes an interesting change as a Beatles song.
Currently, I've Just Seen A Face is my favorite Beatles song.
It's a solo performance released under the name 'The Beatles'.
According to the Abby Road Studio Sessions, I've Just seen a Face, I'm Down and Yesterday were recorded on June 14th, 1965 in that order all in one day! Phew!
Currently, I've Just Seen A Face is my favorite Beatles song.It took ten years but Paul finally took a lesson from groups like these......and performed a bluegrass version in 1975...I've Just Seen A Face Wings Live 1975
