Your perfect day
« on: August 13, 2005, 11:25:03 PM »

Just something I thought would be fun for us to do. Describe what would happen on your perfect day.

Here's what would happen on mine:
Me and my cousins all go to a concert. One that we all like and can agree on. Then we go backstage and meet the band! Then on the way home we stop at a garage sale and pick up a bunch of Beatles records and Archie comics. We then go to a fast-food restaurant ad get fried chicken or hamburgers or something at the drive-through.
We go home and we listen to the records while eating fast food and reading the comics.
Later, we go down to the beach at my Nana's and build the most kickass sandcastle ever. Someone takes a picture of it. Then we go back to Nana's house and dig out a bunch of old photo albums so we can laugh at the hairstyles and clothes.

My perfect day has already happened.

I wake up around 10 or so in my room in the student house that I lived in for all of this past year. Immediately I remember something really good that happened lastnight and it makes me smile before I even get up. I don't have class until 2pm, so I sit around in our kitchen for a couple hours in my pyjamas with about 4 of my 7 other housemates and discuss completely random things. One of them makes the claim that sharks are scarier than bears, I disagree and we engage in a passionate discussion. I make some grilled cheese, but I have to steal the bread from another housemate who's at class.

When I get back from class me and one of my housemates consider running over to the cute little pub which is directly acrose the street, but someone finds a few Keith's' in the fridge so we take them outside on the porch, and play music really loudly, watching the people at the pub. We comment on everyone who passes by and on how great it is to be sitting on the porch on a nice day with some Keith's'.

That night a neighbour stops by, brings us free beer, and we have a jam session in our kitchen - I play the guitar, someone else plays a harmonica, someone provides a beat and everyone sings. The more we drink, the louder it gets until we're all outside and down the street, under a strange window, serenading some boys.

I totally miss school!! :'(

My perfect day would have something to do with either meeting, bumping into, or knocking over Paul McCartney. Something involving some sort of physical contact. Yeah, that would make my day alright. Maybe it would help me get over my 900 year obsession. ;)

Let's see......

        (Puffy Cloud Border)
First the girl that I've been wanting forever would bump into me somewhere and tell me that she loves me and she's been dying to tell me for a long time.  Then after we walked around a bit we'd come to the house of an old man with awesome guitars giving them away because he is becoming a minimalist.  So we then throw the guitars in the back of the hot rodded old SS Camaro and drive back to my house, drop the guitars off, go get dinner, go somewhere and end up talking deep into the night...

Holy crap, that was wierd.

This REALLY IS my perfect day - it happened last year and so far it looks as if it's going to happen again Saturday NEXT WEEK!!!! I can't wait!!!

Last year on 28th August 2004 I was having a quiet drink in The Grapes pub........

...down Mathew Street in Liverpool.......

...we had a few beers........

...and suddenly heard some Beatles songs being played on an acoustic guitar...........

...we joined the guitarist and ended up staying there the whole day singing very drunkenly for ages and ages (actual event not shown!!).........

...then later on, to round off our evening, we went down the Cavern Club!!!!

Honestly, one of the best days of my life!!
[/b]

And we'll be doing it all again this year!! Woohoo!!!!

Outside:

Inside: The Beatles seated inside The Grapes after a Cavern session! The exact same bench seat is still there in the alcove!!!

My perfect day would be spent with my grandparents who have sinced passed on. Starting with one of my grandmothers killer breakfast's and then spending the day working on the farm or walking the property lines of the farm and just talking about anything.

It would start off with a pink sunrise and french toast.  Maybe traveling to unknown places or adventures, a cafe' with friends!

That's what I was thinking, Indy. Of course I wouldn't mind if that album also sold a few million copies and put a large sum of money in my pocket.

How many Rickys do you think we can get with that?

Woke up this mornin' blues around my head, no need to ask the reason why, went to the kitchen and lit a cigarette, blew my worries to the sky...
